Artist Statement and Biography: My inspiration was the need for global harmony. All elements co-existing and all races harmonious and as one are combined in the figure. The elements of nature - wind, water and fire - are flowing into one another, becoming one with the environment. The rainbow influence on the wings signifies promise and doves ascending signify peace.

Linda Shaw graduated from Kent State University with a degree in commercial/advertising art and then went on to pursue a master's degree in painting. While raising her four children, Linda taught art and other classroom subjects. Since that time she has concentrated on her art. She has consistently painted, sculpted and experimented with many media including paint, fabric, wood and metal. She has received many awards and has completed numerous commissions from portraits to murals. Linda states, "Art and the creative process have been an integral part of my life and at age 63, I'm just beginning."

Condition report

The statue measurements are approximately 6 feet tall by 8 feet, 6 inches long. These are works of art and some statues are meant to be displayed out of the elements.
