Lot of two medallions, one a silver Proof, in a plush presentation case as issued for the 30th Anniversary of Gagarin's flight. The medallions depict Gagarin on the face and the Vostok capsule on the reverse. The enclosed certificate of authenticity reads, in part: 'I hereby certify that The First Man in Space, 30th Anniversary Medal is minted from the metal of a Soviet space craft actually flown into space'. The certificate has a printed signature of Gherman Titov, cosmonaut. Scarce and attractive.
