Tsiolkovsky signs and inscribes on cover of his 1928 book, 'The Will of Universe and Unknown Intelligent Forces', 23 pages, softbound. This volume was self-published by Tsiolkovsky in Kaluga with printing of only 2000 pieces. His inscription reads 'To Dear Friend A.L. Chyzhevsky, K. Tsiolkovsky, 1929, 19th March'. Chyzhevsky was arrested as Nazi spy by NKVD and sent to Gulag for 15 years (until 1957). He was pioneer in space biology and was unknown to people in the West until 1980s. Inscription slightly faded as expected, book in excellent condition.
