Beautifully framed document signed by Napoleon's Chief of General Staff. Framed along with engraving of Berthier and a translation of document's basic content. Overall framed piece is 20x27½", document on Army of the French Republic stationery measures about 7½"x9". Berthier, also, represented French Army in the United States during the American Revolution as his first major foreign posting in 1781. A great piece of military, American & world history.
