Four segment, brass telescope without end cap. 29" open, 9½" closed with a maximum diameter of 1¾". Bare, unwrapped brass body. A true precision instrument. Rarely seen this nice. Very slight bending of brass at wide end. Appears to be from Civil war era. Very fine.
