Never before seen group of about 200 different black & white photographs in varying sizes taken by a crew member during the famous cruise by 16 new battleships sent by then President Theodore Roosevelt around the world. These photos are excellent for an amateur, taken by Richard Wesley Konter (who later sailed with Admiral Byrd on his first expedition to the North Pole and as assistant steward on the Byrd Antarctic expedition). We note photos taken at sea, in Egypt, England, Australia, etc. Daily life, formations, militaria, all are shown in these shots from a century ago. Rarely do we see such history available. A biographic article on the photographer/seaman from the 'Brooklyn Home Reporter and Sunset News' of 1975. is included with the home photo album. Some back-faults from previous mounting on black pages, but images are in excellent condition. Inspection a must.
