Rare contractor's model from Aerojet General Corp. (21x10½"x6") on 24"x12¾" wood base. White with red, blue & black details. Accompanied by ORIGINAL tempera painting on board 22½"x39½", framed to about 27½"x45" (by noted artist Jack King (painting signed 'JacKing')plus a laminated & framed copy of Sep. 10, 1973 Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine cover picturing the ship traveling at about 60 knots. This is the only surface ship to have made the cover of the important aviation journal. A historic group that can be used as a magnificent display of model, painting & collateral material. Fine condition.
