66440 BB Marbles: Akro Cornelian Box

AKRO AGATE COMPANY, Original package. An exceptionally rare original box.Cardboard covered with white silkpaper. Stamped on the front "25 No. 3 Akro Cornelian" withAkro logo and company information. A couple of small scuffs on the box top. Contains twentyfive Akro Cornelians. Akro Cornelians are similar to Bricks, but they are a red opaque glass ratherthan an oxblood red glass. Akro advertising at the time described the color as similar to that foundin glowing embers of a fire. The box is 4-3/8" x 4-3/8" x 7/8" and Mint(-). The marbles are 3/4"to 27/32" and Mint. Stunning box. Extremely rare. Circa late 1920s.
