EARLY DECORATED & INCISED STONEWARE CROCK. Impressed "J.Remmey, Manhattan Wells, New York" within an incised cartouche and attributed to John Remmey III (in business 1792 and working at Manhattan Wells until 1813). Incised foliage on the other side has cobalt detail. Ovoid shaped with a raised band around the base and just below the rim. Hairlines and a few rim chips with one handle missing.
