A few small tears along folds., 5 inch horizontal tear along center fold. from top border - negligible paper loss. Slightly toned. With 1854 copyright notice below map Colton's map shows the new territories of Kansas & Nebraska, their topography & Indian tribes, it includes natural history & ethnographic vignettes & also shows the proposed routes of The Pacific Railroad. Insets of The Gadsen Purchase & of The United States with its new borders are included. Presumed second state, but identical to the map illustrated as the first state in Paul E.
