AN 18TH CENTURY AMERICAN STENCIL DECORATED PINE BLANKET CHEST, possibly Pennsylvania, the hinged rectangular lid with paneled top above a paneled front of two arches centering red stenciled floral clusters and the date 1748 and the letters A N DR divided by vertical panels centering white stylized scrolling vinery, raised on scrolling bracket feet and apron. Height: 31 1/4", width: 53".
