COUNTRY CHIPPENDALE TWO-PIECE SECRETARY. Butternut with an old dark red finish and pine secondary wood. Dovetailed bracket feet, dovetailed case and four dovetailed drawers with beaded edges. Slant front lid with a fitted interior consisting of five dovetailed drawers, one hidden drawer and eight pigeon holes. The top has two dovetailed drawers and two doors with scalloped inset panels. Replaced brass pulls. "H" hinges on the sides of the case (two replaced). Nailed restorations to feet and one drawer in the upper case has been stained on the interior and is possibly an old replacement. Found in Vermont. Ex Ed Weissman.
