EARLY WINDSOR LOW-BACK CHAIR. Attributed to Rhode Island. Old black paint over an earlier red. Baluster and ring turned legs with an "H" stretcher base. Well-shaped "D" seat has incised molding around the sides and back edge. The rolled backrest has an old split and a thin metal brace inletted at the back for stability. Seat 15 1/4"h. at the center. 27 3/4"h.
