SLEEPY EYE WAX SHOULDER HEAD DOLL. Ca 1860-1890, 13"h. Cloth body, poured wax arms, papier mache legs, original mohair was nailed on. Dressed in original blue taffeta walking suit with matching hat, undergarments, socks, boots (one boot replaced). Bodice of clothing shows wear. Head has no rewax or repaint, but does show wear including a split on right side from ear to shoulderplate. Bellows for eyes does not work.
