18th-Century Russian Madonna and Child Painting. Oil on Board. 15 1/2 Inches High.; 13 Inches Wide. In good condition commensurate with age with vertical crack center, paint and gilding loss image with wear and some insect damage frame. Condition reportHas two splits in panel in center going vertically and shows the repair with butterfly wood keys on verso, remnants of old gilding, in-painting along the splits, surface aging with some scratches and old scuffs, the old scrafitto of the Madonna's halo is lightly visible, can be restored but has alot of old charm the way it is! Expect abberations from age and wear.
