Includes Browne's famous A Peep at Washoe, an account of his 1860 visit to Virginia City. Paher notes that "his is among the best and liveliest reports of the early Comstock boom, capturing the flavor of mining camps in good style." Cowan p.78; Howes B876; Paher 219.
