President John F. Kennedy Green Inkwell with Initials
John Fitzgerald Kennedy (May 29, 1917 - November 22, 1963), also referred to as John F. Kennedy, Kennedy, John Kennedy, Jack Kennedy, or JFK, was the thirty-fifth President of the United States. In 1960 he became the youngest person ever to be elected as President of the United States, and the second youngest, after Theodore Roosevelt, to serve. Kennedy served from 1961 until his assassination in 1963. The Bay of Pigs Invasion, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the building of the Berlin Wall, the Space Race, the American Civil Rights Movement and early events of the Vietnam War took place during his presidency. Irish green ink bottle owned and used by President John F. Kennedy. "JFK" initials engraved on the pewter lid. This bottle sat on Kennedy's upstairs desk at the White House and was given to his secretary, Toinette Marya Bachelder (1915-1996), by aide Ted Sorensen.
