c. 1920's-30's. Albany slip glaze. China plate teeth. Glass runs from nose to mouth. Not signed. Crudely turned. Extremely rare. Mint condition. 9.5" h. Est. $5,000-8,000. Ship: $40 This jug had belonged to the consignor’s Grandfather, Merele Morgan Hoover, an engineer for the TN water and sewer system who passed away in 1984. It had a prominent place on the family fireplace hearth in Raccoon Mountain, TN. The consignor, who is now 63, vividly remembers this jug on her grandfather’s hearth when she was a girl, and she says that her mother remembers it sitting in the same place even when she was small. It has remained with this same family since they acquired it, and this is the first time it has been offered for sale.
