Pierrot Barra Religious Shrine with Doll's Head.

c. 1996. Mixed media with bottles, coffee can fabric, sequins &a doll's head. Good to fair condition. Doll's head is loose. 18" x 14". Provenance: The Ruth West Collection. Est. $100 - $200. Ship: $35 Pierrot Barra was a visionary constructor of Voodou Icons. He died in 1999 at the age of 57. Tragically, many of his sculptures were destroyed when religious fanatics looted the Museum of Port-au-Prince and fed them to a bonfire on the day after Jean-Bertrand Aristide fled Haiti in 2004.

Good to fair condition. Doll's head is loose.
