This commercial contemporary property measures 12 ¾ inches high, 15 inches wide and 7 inches deep. The fish monger stands 6" tall. He has an unglazed bisque head and limbs attached to a stuffed cloth body. His features including his mustache, wavy dark hair and flat dark brown shoes are painted on with a low sheen. His collar and cuffs are of paper, his pants are made of felt and his apron appears to be of hand-stitched homespun material. A total of 63 fish are offered for sale: 12 pair mounted on wood, 33 loose fish in troughs, 2 fish in a display basket and 4 fish carved from bone hanging above.
