DAN JOHNSON Four-drawer, single pedestal desk with lacquered top. 30 3/4" x 54" x 24 1/4" This desk is one of the rare pieces Dan Johnson designed for Hayden Hall, the furniture manufacturer hoping to bring his exceptional work to a wider audience. Architect Rodney Walker used the desk in his interior design for Case Study House #17 which was included in Arts and Architecture, July 1947; a portion of the desk is illustrated.
