Fernand LeQuesne (French, 1856-1918), Ship Entering New York Harbor: An Allegory of France and America, oil on canvas, 39 1/2" x 25 1/2", signed LR. With a label verso from an exhibition held in 1986 at the Museum of the Borough of Brooklyn at Brooklyn College ("Tides of Immigration: Romantic Visions and Urban Realities"). Good, unlined condition. In a frame measuring 43 1/2" x 29 1/2". This painting formed the basis for a poster of the image.
