Owl Turning Head Mechanical Bank. Cast Iron

J and E Stevens Co., designed by James H. Bowen. Patented 9/28/1880. The above bank has glass eyes and is nicely ornamented in natural colors, with an extremely rare copper and bronze variation. Place a coin on the top of the branch and press the thumb-piece at the back. When the head of the owl turns, and the coin is deposited below, after which the head moves back to its former position. Rare original copper flashing paint. Cast Iron.(Excellent).
