Garcia Mitchell Reel Salesman Sample Case

Rare Garcia Mitchell Reel Salesman Sample Case. Fully loaded with 20 reels and a complete line of lures and accessories, this 24" by 24" double sided carry case opens to display the wares of the Garcia Mitchell company. Set on rods to hold the reels in front of a light blue velvet background, there are spinning reel models that include a 10th version of the famous No.300, a model 350, model 330 with auto bail, a No.304, a white lettered model 308 and dark blue model 400, to name a few. Casting reels include models 1750, 2600 free spool, 5000B, 6000 and a 5000. Also, left hand versions of the Abumatic, with other models including a 505 and a 170. Opposite the reels are a line of lures including Hi-Lo's, Reflex, Eelets and Hi-Fi's, spools and leaders, catalogs, rod parts, etc. Also included in the display are 7 Garcia booklets and a 1963 catalog, as well as other ancillary fishing items. While some items were added later to fill the case and are not original to the display, it is still a fantastic item and a wonderful look into the life of a fishing salesman in the 1960's.
