Folio, 472pp. Filled with full page and smaller tinted and black and white engravings, including 7 by Dore, 2 by Peter Moran, and 7 by Thomas Moran, incl. a double page spread on Lake George with 4 engravings. 1 large tear across the cover and first leaf of the May 1874 issue and a similar one across page 13 of the Jan 1874 issue. Otherwise contents clean with very minor distress. Bound in publisher's ¾ brown morocco with salmon cloth boards and title in gilt on front board and spine. Binding extremities worn and spine is pulled at top. Hinges are beginning to crack.
