Vintage 1937 Gibson Roy Smeck Stage Deluxe Guitar,
serial # 1233C with red "3" below, acoustic flat top, mahogany back and sides, bound top and back, mother-of-pearl position inlays on fingerboard, rosewood bridge, with hardshell case. - A short-lived model named after the great vaudeville string virtuoso. Originally set up for Hawaiian slide playing. - Completely refinished to a uniform dark brown, missing pickguard, considerable wear below sound hole, three top cracks, crudely repaired 1" hole on underside, needs strap pin, logo decal lost in action. Fair condition only, but structurally viable and worthy of proper restoration.
