Vintage Violin With Adjustable Fingerboard,
full size Stradivarius copy with unusual metal adjustment device placed under the fingerboard- which is not attached to the instrument's neck! An interior label reads "NOVOTNY FINGERBOARD / PATENTED JULY 16, 1929 / JACKSON-GUIDAN VIOLIN CO. CLEVELAND, OHIO". An astonishing and apparently unpopular contrivance. - Hairline on top, missing bridge, former owner's name scratched on back below heel. Some minor chips to extremities. Good overall condition.
