John Arthur Lomax RBA (1857-1923), 'Counted out', oil on panel, signed, bears label with title and artist's address on reverse, 30cm x 46cm Note: Lomax was born in Manchester and studied at the Munich Academy. He specialised in genre subjects, usually historical genre of the 17th and 18th centuries. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1880.
