Description: Original silver print photograph, 5x3.Inscribed by the London's longtime servant (Yoshimatsu) Nakata: "To Dear Mr. Mathews, Happy new year, 1911. From Nakata. 'Ha! Ha!" The photo depicts a smiling Nakata at the wheel of the London's yacht "Roamer." Nakata first joined the London's in 1907 at the start of the Snark voyage and he was a virtually constant companion until he resigned service in 1915. Rare.
