1838 Slave related Document Greenville SC - Document is that of a Henderson Miller who is appointing his brother Tilman Miller as his power of attorney over the fate of" a certain Negro Man Henry which said Negro is now in the possession of my mother Mary Miller and is so to remain until here death" He later gives him authority "to sell him at Greenville Court House by giving public notice" retaining $55.74 with interest from March 1838 "the amount I owe him" document includes other details names and conditions.
