Antique Japanese Zushi Buddha Shrine, ca. 19th c.
black lacquered wooden case with gilt metal hardware houses a carved wooden statuette accentuated with touches of gold paint, flowering lotus plants set against geometric swirls are painted on the inside of the shrine's two doors. - 7.5" x 5" x 3.75" - Wear, some loss to gilt throughout, statue lacks left arm, a few minor scuffs to exterior.
