excellent workmanship w/overall fine detail, the figure appears to represent an entertainer w/his female impersonation mask pushed up on his forehead, his drum at his side, and his companion (monkey) on a rope, blue, green, and red tints accentuate the carving, the ivory shows good patina appropriate to its age, bottom with artist mark - 6.5" - This is mammoth ivory and was legally imported into the United States.
