oil on canvas, signed lower right "J. G. McIntyre," canvas bears Reeves & Sons stamp en verso, charming cottage view at winter with a young man escorting his two plough horses back from the fields as a young woman feeds the chickens under the thatched covering, housed in the original ornate gilt wood frame with composition ornament; McIntyre exhibited several works at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of Artists - Birmingham, Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, Walker Art Gallery -Liverpool, Manchester City Art Gallery, and the Royal Hibernian Academy. - SS 19.5" x 15.5"; DOA 25" x 21.5"
