English Delft Center Bowl, c. 1730,
probably Bristol, tin glazed with iron-red, blue, and ocher polychrome decoration, the interior is painted with a central insert and pendant grape clusters from the rim, the exterior is painted with a charming depiction of a squirrel amongst insects and trailing vines - 5" x 10 1/8" diameter - typical fritting to the rim, chipping to the footed base, 3/8" shallow exterior rim chip
Provenance: Dr. Jan Boyazoglu; purchased by current consignor at Christie's NY on January 21, 2003.
