Antique Irish Mahogany Veneer Tall Case Clock,
very early 19th c., time and strike, brass movement, engraved "Robt. Evers / Dublin" on silvered metal dial having Roman numerals designating hours and an outer ring marking minutes with Arabic numerals, inset dial for seconds, the whole mounted on ornately engraved brass panel; further embellished with applied foliate spandrels in corners, all under pagoda hood with two glass side panels, arched waist door decorated with low relief plain shield, clock's front has extensive foliate and geometric inlays on all wooden elements, includes crank-style key. - Comparable to English clocks of the Georgian era, yet much rarer. - 92" x 23" x 10.75" - Two patched repairs to door, age cracks, splits and areas of veneer loss throughout, one pane of glass is cracked.

Central mahogany inlaid shield to center of case door is later, replaced "seat board" for works.
