1962 Lambretta LI 150 Series 3
Description
Specifications:
6.5hp, 150cc single-cylinder engine
The Milan-based Innocenti manufacturing company used its experience with industrial tubing to begin motorcycle production immediately after World War II. Pressure from customers alongside competition from Vespa eventually necessitated the advent of fully enclosed bodywork for the Lambretta, which was introduced in the late 1940s.
The Lambretta on offer is believed to be in original condition with less than 3,500 original miles. It is finished in grey with blue body panels and the paint suffers from certain signs of wear, ageing, and surface texture, all of which are generally insignificant. Road use is also apparent on the engine but the tires seem to be relatively new and are in good condition. Extras and accessories are quite minimal and are limited to a speedometer/odometer assembly and a rear-mounted spare tire. Unlike Vespas, the Italian Lambrettas are no longer in production and, consequently, any surviving original examples have become particularly attractive to scooter enthusiasts.
