PAINTED COUNTRY CARD TABLE. New England. Early 19th Century. Old, if not original, red over salmon ground. Birch with pine secondary. Both halves of top are single boards with wide breadboard ends and show traces of red. Single long drawer with brass pull and beaded edge. Tapered legs, one swings out to support leaf. Clear finish over red, minor age splits and light touch-up to paint. Ex Samaha. Ex Gus Knapp. 30"h. 35 1/2" x 17 3/4" closed. 35 1/2" x 35 1/2" open.
