SET OF EIGHT HEPPLEWHITE CHAIRS. Massachusetts, ca. 1800. Mahogany with shield backs, over-upholstered seats, molded legs, and "H" stretchers. Descended in the family of Timothy Pickering, Salem, Massachusetts. Retain a fine old finish. Minor repairs. Seat height 17 3/4", overall height 37 1/2".

Condition: New glue blocks, a few other minor repairs or stabilized joints.
