PHILADELPHIA TALL CASE CLOCK. Ca. 1800. Mahogany with poplar secondary wood. Flat top, dentilated cornice, fluted quarter columns, and bracket feet. The brass movement is signed "Solomon Parke & Co." (working ca. 1797-1801 at 146 North 2nd Street), and has a sun/moon/ship dial, and floral spandrels. Retains a rich patina, feet expertly restored. 93 1/4"h. 19"w. 10"d.
Condition reportCondition: Feet are very well-executed replacements, stabilized crack in the original glass in the door, minor age crack to the base, patches to the waist door hinges, later finial holes.
