PAIR OF COBALT SANDWICH CANDLESTICKS. Massachusetts, ca. 1840-1860. Deep cobalt glass hexagonal candlesticks joined by a wafer at the socket. Good color. Some rough edges and small flakes. 8 3/4"h.

Condition: Quite a bit of roughness along seam lines and under the wafers. One has a flake on the socket corner and smaller flakes on the base. The other has a slightly misshapen base & doesn't sit flat. Less roughness along the seams, a few more but smaller flakes on the base and socket edge, largest flake 1/4" is under the wafer. Both have small base blisters.
