AMBER BLOWN GLASS FLASK. American, early 19th Century. Golden amber half post chestnut flask with twenty-nine broken swirled ribs. A few tiny broken blisters. 6 1/2"h.
Condition reportCondition: ribs are usually even numbered, counted this 3x & still came up with 29. Feel free to recount... Blisters are very small, at least 2-4 are broken near the swirl ribs. The lip has been ground. Minor potstone in one side, potstone difficult to see, more like a gather of glass. Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports.
