STILL LIFE PAINTING. American, mid 19th Century. Bountiful oil on canvas still life featuring cherries in a glass compote, walnuts and assorted fruit, a glass of red wine and a cake with serving knife. Boards nailed to the back of the stretcher. 18 1/2"h. 28 3/4"w. Ornate gold painted frame. 24"h. 34 1/2"w.

Condition: Some possible old touch ups show under blacklight in the upper left corner and lower right corner. Frame has edge damage. Backing boards partially removed for examination
