CHIPPENDALE SLANT-FRONT DESK. New England, ca. 1780, in bold curly maple with pine secondary wood. Dovetailed case with four graduated drawers, resting on bracket feet. Fitted interior has a central prospect flanked by drawers and cubbyholes. Replaced brasses, minor feet repairs, retains an older finish with good color. 43"h. 35 1/2"w. 18"d. 30 1/2" writing surface.
