THREE FRAMED INK ON MUSLIN DRAWINGS. Probably New Bedford, Massachusetts and made for or by daughters of Joseph and Deborah Tabor. All floral motifs drawn by hand and probably date in mid 1840's. All in gold frames. Technique related to the inked signatures on album quilts and the recent improvement in the fastness of ink.. Two pictured on middle shelf. The larger background piece is a floral wreath inscribed "SST" and dated "1843" with vining border. Framed 6 1/4"h. 6 3/4"w. Also pictured on far right a miniature drawing of a basket of flowers with the name "Ann R Taber". Done on unhemmed fabric. 1 1/4"h. 2 1/4"w. Frame. 3"h. 4"w. Also drawing of two birds in a nest, surrounded by leafy twigs and flowers and surrounded by less skillfully drawn vining border. Inscribed "Caroline S. Taber" and signed "Anna T R". Rounded corners and slight toning. Frame 6 14"h. 6 3/4"w.
