PUFFY SLEEVE ARTIST SILHOUETTE. American, ca. 1830. Hollow cut portrait of a woman wearing a hair comb. Her dress featuring the typical puffy sleeve is painted in dark blue watercolor. Additional details include a fan and small vase of flowers. Foxing and minor edge damage. Black painted frame has wear. 5 1/8"h. 4 1/8"w.

Condition: . Foxing is all over, minor paint smudges to the dark blue, small edge loss at top near comb and the top 2 corners may have been repaired, tape hinges at top are very tight making it difficult to see back of corners.
