UNUSUAL DECORATED BLANKET CHEST.
Probably Pennsylvania, ca. 1810-1840, pine. Dovetailed
case with an interior till and turned feet. Retains its original
paint decoration consisting of a red putty decoration on a
yellow ground, with large star, heart, and sunburst stamps.
Minor wear and damage. 24h. 43"w. 22"d."

Condition report



Condition: Some wear to paint (worst on top and base molding, and large spot on front), lower right base molding likely replaced, minor loss to back of left base molding, stable cracks to 2 feet, overvarnished, replaced lock, left hinge has been reset.
