RARE DECORATED HALL TREE.
American, mid-19th Century. Pine with exuberantly
scroll-cut arms, fourteen pegs, and a dovetailed well at the
base. Retains its original red and black grain painting with
yellow striping. Stabilized cracks. 71 1/2h. 27 1/4"w. 13
1/2"d."

Condition: Minor paint wear, has period iron stabilizing braces (as made) and two later braces, cracks at expected places, but all stable, a few joined seams are separating, age cracks to bottom board, lacking right and left pegs on bottom rail.
