RIO GRANDE RIVER VALLEY HISPANIC BLANKET.
Early Hispanic blanket in hand carded wool with bands of reds, pinks, yellow, soft blue/green alternated with bands of carded greys. Similar to blankets woven with handspun (often Navajo) yarn from the San Luis Valley in Colorado south to Mexico by servant Indian women, Hispanic weavers and also at Bosque Redondo, on horizontal looms.
