INUPIAT PAINTING ON SKIN BY GEORGE
TWOK" ADEN AHGUPUK.
Colored pen and ink by Alaskan Eskimo illustrator and
artist, George Ahgupuk (1911-2001). Discovered by
Rockwell Kent, his works are in major private and public
collections. He was an invited member of the American
Artists Group. The polar bear was a favorite subject-this
is a superior example with subtle shade and colored
detailing. Signed in lower right hand comer "George
Ahgupuk". 7"h. x 9"w."
