NEW YORK WINTER LANDSCAPE.
Late 19th or early 20th Century. Later ink
inscription identifies the town as Shushan, New
York, and the artist as Anna Pratt Armstong. A
wonderful view with a church, several houses,
several figures, and a horse-drawn sleigh, and a
train in the foreground. Accompanying the painting
is a photo taken in 2000 of Shushan--the church
and the house next door are still extant. 18h.
25"w., modern frame, 21 1/2"h. 28 1/2"w."
